How we calculate

How we calculate

The wall area comes from our calculation core: the distance around the room times the wall height. Doors and windows you enter are taken off; the ceiling is added when you tick it.

Coverage differs per paint and per wall. We found no public, neutral source for one number, so the calculator starts at 350 sq ft per gallon, our own starting value. Use the number printed on your can.
