Drawings and a contractor pack from one plan
For contractors: draw the existing home, mark walls, doors and windows to demolish or new, and add the systems. You get the sheets, before and after in 3D, and one ZIP for your crew that changes with the drawing.

What you get
One drawing, everything for the remodel
Sheets, 3D and the pack come from the same lines. Change the drawing and the rest follows.
-
Existing, work and new
Three sheets with a legend, plus elevations, a section and interior elevations. The DXF has new and demolish on their own layers.
- The drawing set as one PDF
- Before and after in 3D and the view link
-
Systems on the plan
Circuits, points, cables from the panel, water, drains and floor heating, each on its own sheet with a legend.
- Panel schedule and single-line diagram
- Cable and pipe length per run
-
Contractor pack
One button makes the contractor pack: the drawing set, DXF and a view link in one ZIP, with a readme.
- DXF on layers
- View only link, also in 3D
Proof
One remodel on three sheets
A 24 × 20 ft house: the load-bearing wall between kitchen and living room comes out, two new walls make a laundry, and a new window goes in the side wall. This is the work sheet the editor draws.
The gross living area by ANSI Z765 stays 502 sq ft before and 502 sq ft after: it is measured from the outside of the exterior walls.
- From the calculation engine, not typed by hand
- Existing, work and new from the same lines
- Drawing aid, not an installation design. A licensed electrician or plumber designs, connects and inspects the work.
Gross living area before and after
By ANSI Z765, from the editor
| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Gross living area | 502 sq ft | 502 sq ft |
How it works
From walk-through to contractor pack in four steps
-
Draw what is there
Type the dimensions, measure with a Bluetooth laser, or trace an old plan.
-
Mark the work
Each wall, door or window stays, goes or is new. Turn on remodel mode under More, and draw the systems in Systems.
-
Check before and after
See the remodel in 3D before and after; the area follows the plan after the work.
-
Hand it over
Contractor pack in Export makes the ZIP: drawing set, DXF and a view link.
Systems
For the electrician and the plumber
Circuits with breaker and RCD, points on a circuit, cables laid from the panel, the panel schedule and a single-line diagram. Water and drains laid automatically, with the length per kind.
Every systems sheet says the same thing: a drawing aid, not an installation design. The licensed trade designs, connects and gets it inspected.

info@squaremetry.comWhat can I hand my client or my subs?
One button, Contractor pack, in Export and in Sheets makes a ZIP: the drawing set (existing, demolition and new, systems, interior walls with the kitchen run), DXF on layers with a paid home or Pro, and a readme with the view link when the home is in your account.
Does Squaremetry use market prices?
No. We never fill in prices. You or your contractor price the work from the drawings.
Is this contractor estimating software?
No. It is the drawing: existing, work and new, systems and the area before and after. It does not count materials, keep a cost database or schedule a job.
Does it check the electrical plan or a beam?
No. It draws and counts. A licensed electrician designs and connects the installation, and a structural engineer sizes a beam where a load-bearing wall comes out.
What does it cost for a contractor?
Pro is $24 a month or $179 a year, with 15 new homes a month. Team is $69 a month for 5 people. One home now and then: $5. Your first home is free for 30 days.
