What counts

What counts in the square footage

With one floor and no garage, the finished area is the house measured to the outside of its walls. Each room is measured inside its walls, so the rooms add up to less than the total.

Each room is measured inside its walls. The finished area of a house is measured to the outside of the exterior walls (ANSI Z765), so it is larger than the rooms added up.

What is a house with only one story called?

A one-story or single-story house; a ranch and a bungalow are common one-story styles.

How many feet is 1 story?

In these plans one story is 9 ft from floor to ceiling, plus the floor and roof structure. You can change the height in the editor.

Can I change these plans?
